i just got a 29 gal. tank from the neibors down the street with everything a stand 2 light strips a filter heater a top and gravel and decore. the only problem is it needs a good cleaning confused.gif im not sure how to get the white crusty stuff off (i think it's limw but im not sure) can any one tell me a safe way to clean the lime or what ever it is off my tank.

well I am not sure as to what the lime is, but the best thing to do is just put boiliung water in it, and boil all the other things.

You also can do a diluted bleach rinse, but I have never been a fan of that.

salt and vinger have been recommanded to but what ever u use make sure u rinse it oh so well afterwards

Just scrub it with hot water and a scourer/toothbrush. Vinegar works too, as does salt water and ammonia. Amminia is ver safe because any you don't rinse off goes towards the cycle.

Vinegar wil remove lime deposits. Rinse well aferwards,

Tolak

i think im gunna use vinager from what ive heard onother sites n here but how do i use it soak a towel n scrub or let it sit in it?

I'd say unless it is so gross it will not come off with just rubbing it with a little diluted vinegar on a cloth, you should soak it in some dilluted vinegar
