Ok so i was at my LFS animal world and they have these tiny cichlids...I never got the name but the look like the shape of a parrot cichlid but smaller. It was grey with black stripes too....

umm... i dont think either of you are right lol sorry when i seen it, it was about 2" i think..well close around there

maybe a juvenile Tillipa Buterfrikoi (spelling)? To be fair it could be any of the cryptohero species, try searching black convict they are black on grey. To complicate things more some young fish have totaly different colouring to adults

lol this is very confusing!!The look like a convict but i just dont know lol..i think the name said green terror but im pretty sure they werent

Coulda just been a blood parrot 90% of them start off stripy and colourless.

Bearing in mind that Midas/Red Devils usually start off Stripey and lose there stripes nearer sexual maturity and go patchy.
