I know its not much to go on and I haven't got any pics
But I would like to know what kind Cichlid this is.
It is a whitish silverish cichlid with a black stripe going down the middle?
thx

That covers just about half the cichlid family then... try googling that and see what results you get because no one could ID a cichlid from that description ;)

Have fun with that :p

If you can take a photo of one from a LFS that would help.

If by a black stripe down the middle you mean across it's dorsal fin then it could be an Nkhata Bay Lab.

Body shape? Size? You really need to give us something else to go on.

Google image keyhole cichlid, does it look anything like that?

sorry don't know much about it. so it like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Just wanted to know about it aggression? as i have other some south american cichlids

Where did you see the fish at? Can you go back and take a picture?

In that case I'd have a look around for fish that you can research. Start by looking into what you already have & what you can find for certain are compatible tankmates. I reckon guessing could lead to injured, stressed & even dead fish.
Good luck.
