I bought this Cichlid Complete food by Hikari it says its a wheat germ rich diet for cichlids. I bought them because they are sinking pellots. My kribensis dont even give them a chance at all why is this? Is there a better pellot for me? Chicild gold perhaps? it floats but will the kribs eat off the top?

i have flakes, i have normal tetra min flakes and freeze dried brine shrimp flakes but they wont eat this pellot and i want another kind of pellots to put in there but will they eat it off the top, ive noticed mine never go to the top cause eventually the food falls then they eat it as it comes down but i dont think that floating pellots sink.

By the way they layed eggs and i can see them and im very very excited. LUcky for me they took fancy to the car at the front of the aquarium that i can see nicely into and they dont seem to be too shy

I feed my frontosa New Life Spectrum. It has been recommended by the 2 suppliers of the wild caught Africans that I have purchased It is high quality, low fat. It comes in at least 2 sizes of sinking pellets as well as other styles. It is high in krill, fish meal, algae and spiralina, as well as several vitamin and mineral additives. One style even is Thera A for parasites. It is a little costly.

all fish can be fussy.ive kept kribs that only liked bloodworm and flake.2 of my severums eat anything,my other severum is really fussy.if you want your fish to eat the new food then dont feed them for a couple of days.when hunger strikes, they will soon eat it.i have about 10 different foods in my cupboard so when i get a fussy fish, theres usually something that they'll eat.my bichirs only eat jmc catfish pellets.my hoplo catfish is called the hoover.its eats anthing lol.

kribs will not eat floating cichlid pellets for they are very shy. They might if you have lots of tetras to show them that swimming out in the open is not going to kill them. They will eat regular flake but cichlid flake is better.
