Now that I've gotten into fish, I've hit on the question of whether or not fish people decorate their tanks for the holidays. Do colored lights freak out the fish, and in that case, you don't do it? Or are they fine and you treat the tank like a tree? lol

(I've yet to get a tank, and by the time Christmas comes around, it'll still be cycling, so I'm just asking this so I get the answer now instead of next year, lol. Plus, I honestly want to know what other people do with their tanks)

I've never decorated my tank though I have considered adding water-safe lighting to the interior before, not Christmas related though.

i'm planning to put a bit of tinsel and what not on mine, i'm sure the fish wont mind!

My tank gets tinsel around it.

They will be hell on if someone sprays "snow spray" on the glass though. -_-

I don't do christmas, but for all the people who want to take it one step further, pets at home do a christmas tree ornament for inside the tank, think it lights up as well

My tanks in my room, so no. When the magical days comes though that I live away from home then yes the monster tank in the living room will more then likely have some tinsel around it or what not :)

No I like the tank without so I will leave it as it is. An ornament might go on the lid perhaps.

An ornament on the lid or a spot of tinsel but that will be it if anything :D My Christmas tree will take all the interest in the room so no need to adorn anything else

how awesome...lol...the world is getting crazy though.....only yesterday i heard they are now making dog perfume (though dogs do stink!)

we didnt decorate our tank last yr but i think a bit of tinsel around it this year would be good, especially when the rest of the house is going to be lit up lit a christmas tree with every type of light you can think of!
