oscars are good mate , i rekon theyre a little over 3 inches now .

growing fast r they ? mine is about 5-6" im suprised tha my argentea is keeping up its the exact same size as well but i will have to part with one of them some time i dno which tho might have to be the oscar as i love my argentea to peices

yeah tey are growing fast mate but its in spurts rather than steady . this pic is when i got em about 5th december

this is the most recent pic , taken about 3 weeks ago , theyve grown about an inch since this pic. il have to borrow my mates camera again ( mines bust and the 1 i got left is crap to say the least) and do some new shots .

In your tank you also have an L018 Gold Nugget Pleco which will reach around 35cm. And as it grows so big, you will be stunting its growth by keeping him in there. Why not move him t your other tank? Adding dither fish will simply overstock your currently overstocked tank even more. I realise the EBJD will be moved but unless it (and advisably your Gold Nugget Pleco)is moved I would not add anymore fish.

the gold nugget is only about 2" so he is only young plus i dont think he will get stunted as my L200 green phantom started off in that tank and he is nearly 9" i think the whole stunting think is usually given with a pinch of salt as long as your water quality is bang on and your feed your fish the correct varied diet then they are fine obviously keeping a 12" oscar in a 36" tank is way too far but if donme sensibly then its ok.

the largest fish in the tank is probs the gold nugget so they are all small and filtration is no issue as i have a JBL cristal profi e900 on the job so plenty of turnover.

and mark your oscars are ace they look like a right troublesome pair

Shame mines gonna be goin when he is a few more inches but my mate who has a 4ft tank with a few catfish just lost her oscar after 12 years so im gna give her jabba when the time comes. And for my veija well he is growing stupidly fast
