Cholla wood question

hey guys, do you know if cholla wood lowers ph and makes your water softer? Or if it’s safe for an up and coming apisto tank?

I think you would need a lot to make any significant difference (if any). I don't see it causing apistos any problems (Unless they get stuck inside it, but I think that's very unlikely)
