I was wondering if u could keep fire belly newts in a 55 gallon tank or would it just be to deep? I was thinking that i would keep the water level a little more than 2/3.
Also has anyone tried keeping them in a tank around 73f or is that to warm?

Thanks to anyone who could help :)

I don't think a tank could be too deep for a fire belly newt. The main thing is to make there are some plants or something on the surface so that the newt can get out of the water when it wants to. As far as water temperature, They do best if the water is between 60-72 degrees. Although they prefer the cooler temps in that range.

I hope that helps. :)
