Thanks mate :) , Yeah i know i do i just need to get some money together first lol. Where is the best place to get hold of slate?

for slate bogwood and stuff like that
i go to a garden center called peter barratts
but i dont know where about you are you could
try a maidenhead aquatics last time i was in barratts
they had some large pieces of bog wood in at a good price

keep an eye on that betta, theyre known to kill guppies. nice tank though.

They was all in the tank together when i first bought, Betta does its own thing and all the guppies stay out of his way doing there own thing, so its all happy in my tank :)

Looks good m8, as regards to the betta and guppies. Some get on fine, some dont. When I was starting out, I mixed the two. All was well for a while until the betta got a taste for guppy tail. All the male guppies ended up with big chunks missing, they would get eaten before they grew back properly.

Nice start!

I would add in a coconut hut, maybe something like a ceramic pot with holes in so the fishes can swim through (bettas love that sort of stuff). Also, try adding more plants, something bunched together in a corner for your betta, they love to rest against things and swim in and out.

Thanks for the comment people much appreciated :) , I have have done some changes if you want to have a look there at the top below what it was like before. I just need a few new plants but not quite sure what...

its getting better, i would move the slate just off center, it will be more eye catching. As for plants, why not try some Vallis along the back of the tank.

i was thinking more like Vallisneria Gigantea http://www.plantsalive.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=575

Its up to you, but i think it would look along the back.

Yeah okay ill get one of them, what about something else? Also should i get so java moss to cover over my slate.
