Cherry Barbs Eating Dwarf Hairgrass

I just spent a mint on Dwarf Hairgrass and my cherry barb males are pulling it out and eating it. Any suggestions or are they going to just ruin it? Thanks

I don't have cherry barbs specifically, but my Black Ruby Barbs live to nibble on my hornwort and water sprite. Barbs are omnivores, and I prefer a veggie based flake for them with Cucumber shreds and sera spirulina tabs. They like to poke holes in my sword plants occasionally as well.

I too bought a pot of hair grass and my cherries are always at them. I'm forever plucking the grass from the filter strainer and replanting them

Yummy, yummy for the Cherry Barbs. That stuff really just annoys them.
