If anyone is looking for a cheap 'tank', there are some big storage boxes for sale at staples, with the biggest being 84 litres and costing £20. The biggest also comes with a 35 litre box free.

Hmm, handy, but are they food safe? Wilkinsons also has some cheap plastic continers, all of which are foodsafe, methinks.

I'd be a little worried about it being able to hold water. I've got some 15ish gallon tubs that bow REALLY badly when filled with water. I wouldn't trust them to hold water long term. So if you try this I'd fill it outside and see how bad it bows first.

could you please give me a link as i am looking for a new tank!

Thanks!

Here what I found on the US Staples website.

Item 277137 Iris® 12-Gallon Tote, Blue Lid

You could probbaly find these at any department stores. The problem would be in the clarity of the plastic.

I have a plastic kiddie pool in the garage along with the keg bucket, emergency tanks! :)

I've got several plastic, apparently food safe and not lost any fish using them, 40l containers that I bought from B&Q years ago.

No lids though but cost under a fiver. Very handy when doing a major reorg on a tank or for mixing up BW.
