Cheap Biorb.

HI GUYS. i take it you all know what a biorb is? well i really want one and was wonderinge where i could find one cheap. 60 litre about £80? please do not give me suggestions like ebay or amazon or gumtree. good cheap websites or places. thanks guys!

Most people including me will say to stay away from Biorbs. They've got pretty rubbish undergravel filtration which means you can't have any bottom dwellers and their shape do tend to stress out fish... I've got a Biube 35l and after keeping it for almost a year now, I'm not really impressed. If you put any ornaments in there then every filter change you will have to take everything out to get to the filter. If I were you, I would get myself a regular 60 litre tank. For the same price as a Biorb you could get a beautiful rimless tank and save yourself a big hassle! Good luck deciding!!

ebay have em cheap all the time but biorbs are rubbish

eBay will no doubt have a load going pretty cheap, they always do as people realise how much they don't like them. Not to bring you down or anything, of course. I mean I completely regret buying my Baby BiOrb. It really is a nightmare to change the filter and that. You not only have to move all the decor, but muck always ends up billowing out of the hole mucking up all the water and ceramic media falls into the hole too. Food and waste is forever getting stuck in the media at the best of times too, even with gravel vacs.

You could always convert it and have a regular internal filter in there with more regular media, which could give both a more functional aquarium and a better home, but the irregular shape does cause stocking disputes.

What else could you get for £100?
