I was just wondering, Catfish are scaleless right? So instead of dosing half on medicines, could i treat with salt or are they sensitive to this as well?

In general, scaleless fish are less tolerant of salt than they would be to medications, but it depends.

What species of catfish are we talking about, and what do they need treating for?

I was just wondering, I've read a lot in the forums about dosing half on medications for catfish, and whether treating with salt would be better? So you're saying that dosing half on medications is safer than treating with salt?

Some catfish are a lot more salt and medication tolerant than others.

Has to be done on a case by case basis, in all honesty; it's not a thing you can generalise about.

Thank you :)
