An obligate parasite. This species feeds on the scales and mucus of other living fish and wil bite chunks out of other catfishes kept with it. Will not accept any other foods.

Cute, unusual, uncommon in the trade, and probably the easiest species of properly parasitic Trichomycteridae to keep (at least you can actually ID it and be certain of what you're getting, unlike most of the typical 'candiru' blood eaters which look pretty much the same). And did I mention it's very cute?
