m trying to settle on a good choice of carpeting type plant for the forground , but im wondering wether or not having corys in the tank affects the suitability of any given plant.

ideally id like to use 1 of the following

glossostigma elatinoides
echinodorus tenellus
eleocharis acicularis

would corys affect the choice?

edit. my prefered choice would be the glosso due to its much shorter height, altho at the same time i really like the look of the dwarf hairgrass but i think it may be too high for the look i want to acheive .

just to add another choice to the mix i think this 1 could prove better suited
Hemianthus callitrichoides

My corys destroyed Glosso and HC Cuba in no time at all - they just wouldn't give it time enough to root.

My hairgrasses (Eleocharis) seem to be pretty immune to them as were my chain swords. I prefer the hair grasses to look at. My chain swords grew but always looked straggly.

None of them make a particularly good carpet (IMHO) - easier more effective options are mosses and riccia. I love my riccia lawns.

Depends what Corys? my Pygmy's had no problem with glossostigma elatinoides or hairgrass though my Bronze Corys may be a little rough on the glossostigma elatinoides, if you planted it in with rock wool as an anchor I imagine they would be ok assuming you have good light + good substrate + Co2 they will carpet well.
