Hi i am new to this forum also aquarist too, so pleased to meet you all anyway lets continue with the said subject: i would like to add a grass bedding to the gravel substrate i intend to use for my aquarium, could someone please assist with KNOWLEDGE of how to do this? i have seen it done on various images and it looks really attractive and natural my tank a large 48in x 18in x 12in and the aim is to cover the whole of the flooring with miniature grass blades if you wish (it is the best way i know to describe the feature, please help :D

you need a plant called eleocharis parvula/accularis, then spend hours spliting it up into bunches of a few blades, then plant in the pattern of the number 5 on a dice. then if you have good flow in your aquarium and ferts it should carpet.

Could also try echinodorus tenellus, nice looking
