There are pure endlers and there are hybrid endlers. When it comes to hybrid endlers there are two kinds of hybrid endlers. One is a natural hybrid (endler x wild guppy) and man made hybrid endlers.
One of the fancy endlers which is a hybrid strain is the cardinal endler. Why it's called "cardinal" seems obvious when you look at the coloration. It's not sold everywhere. But those who love endlers or hybrid endlers may love this strain as well...

It's a very elegant looking hybrid endler strain.
 
Wow this could trick someone into thinking why their cardinal tetras have strange tails and dont really school LOL
 
This is the first time I have seen this thread, not sure what I was doing in April 2020. Nice looking fish though and it doesn't take much imagination to understand why they are called cardinal Endler's. If you could extend the blue along the entire top part of the body it would be even better but still a nice looking fish as they are. :)

There are already so many hybrid strains available. But yes, the cardinal endlers are one of the more attractive hybrid strains there are.
