Carbon Filters

Just a quickie.

I recently had to put a fungicide in to a 120 litre tank to cure a sick BN catfish. He is now fine and I am removing the meds with a carbon filter. How fast does a carbon filter work? It's been in a week, is this enough?

I think it is done but I suggest doing a 20% water change anyway.

I don't think anyone can or has tested that accurately. I would say with a lot of fresh high quality carbon with a lot of flow most will be removed within a few hours, but I would leave it in for a week. Water changes are always a good idea, but I would still run the carbon too.

Thanks for that people. I'll take the carbon out now and do a quick water change too.
