Do you plant frogbit and let it find it's was to the surface or do you let it root down from the top of the tank?

Or does it even need to root?

Just float it... it grows pretty easy.

Yeah, just float it and it does the work for you.
It would also seem that in optimal conditions, its roots grow very long and into the substrate from the surface .
