Its a shame in some regards, but hey, we keep all other types of fish in our aquariums. And really, we cannot always provide the best environment for them to live in. But an adequate aquarium would be able to house sharks of small sizes like the ones shown in the other pictures.

Ive seen worse for sale on ebay! :p

i don't see the problem there really.

the sharks are obviously in great care if they guys bred them so i reakon there living in luxury. and the guy shows care about where the eggs are going 1200l is a big big tank!!

i'ved seen killi fish eggs for sale on ebay before which IMO is no different really.

oh i agree but these can grow to approx 5ft, do wish i could have a tank large enough to keep full sized fish like this in but that be in dream land

just where do you keep a tank that big

its not the fact that hes selling EGGS its what they grow into and can he be sure that the buy really does have or intends to get a tank that size,

plenty of people have tanks that big, it's about a 8x3x2. i wasn't aware they grew to 5ft so maybe they are restricted and he looked hard to get them.

it's kind of like the red tail catfish and tiger shovel cat, most shops stock them at 1 time but how many people have a 10x4x3 tank/pond to house them once fully grown!!

he also has 1 of these fellas for sale..... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...ssPageName=WDVW

They appear to be gummy sharks, which can be kept in adequate sized facilities. I too know an lfs that keeps them!

An LFS near my place had one in a display tank for a couple of months and they put for sale last time i went there (a bit over a month ago) for 800$ CDN. It was about 4 feet long

they put the setup for sale too (I'm guessing an 800-1000 gallon tank), for 10K$

in a spare bedroom!!

thats where i have my 210g and a 130g a side it, if i didn't have to think about getting the tank out again i would have a 470g tank there....10x2.5x2.5......and then 1 on the other side of the room aswell!! :shifty:

Keeping those fish would cost tons of money. Not to mention that they are salt water, and SW tanks seem to need live rock, imagine the price of that! Plus where would you mix up the water, and the prioce of that salt mixes? And the live sand? And the price of the tank!

Prehaps someone like donald trump that can blow money will be able to hqve one of those fish, but an average person will not be able to adquetly(sp) care for the fish. That sayd I dis aproive of the eggs being sold as these fish are far diffrent from killie fish. they get bigger and are harder to care for.
