I recently bought a candy stripe for my 55 gallon tank. I am having a tough time finding info on it though. What size do they grow? What is their temperment? ect...

Any other tips and info is much appreciated...

A nice small Plec. They reach a maximum size of 4-5". What are you trying to feed it ? They are a Plec that prefers a more meatier diet so Bloodworms IME are the best option you should also try to drop them near to the fish so it can easily get them and dosen't have to compete. The fish will be shy and won't venture out until lights out so its best to feed just before lights out.

That's a nice pleco, man. It's small and nicely colored.

Most plecos are territorial, so unless you have a big tank, that should be the only one you keep. Give the guy some dritwood or bogwood. You may also want to purchase some algae wafers and sinking shrimp pellets.

Good luck with your candystripe!
