Can You Keep Tiger Barbs With These Fish?

That might actually force me to rethink them... I'll have plenty of low-water fish in my stocking plan. (Salt and pepper corys, and apistogrammas)... I don't want it to get too crowded down there!!!

Also whilst we are sort of on the subject, I have asked in a few places, but is a 50 litre tank too small for 6 ruby barbs?

Barbs do like space, but when in a school its a little like an elastic band, when the front part moves the #14### end is sure to follow, so you dont get them flying all over the tank like complete mentalists.

The school of 19 i have in my 90 litre are perfectly happy at the moment but they are still quite nippy to one another. If you done mind seeing the odd fin ripped here and there then its ok, but be prepared to live with a little damage. Imo, big tanks only, or species only tank for tigers.

They are ruby barbs not tigers. There are 6 of them. They were in a 125 litre with a gourami a Molly and an angel. The ripped the angel to shreds nearly. Can hardly swim so I have moved them to a 50 litre. But I will try and take them back tomorrow

Got back from a few days away today and have noticed a huge change in the tank and the Five Banded Barbs. The Barbs are nowhere near as skittish as before i left, i can go close up to the tank without them running away now. Also they are moving around the tank even more as well as going higher in the water.

I made a small video below hope its ok quality and is of use to you making a decision.
