I think after my apple snail passes on eventually ill try out some vals with my goldies
Right now I put a bunch of floating plants like water sprite and hornwort in a mesh breeder box to keep the snail OUT but still allow the tank to have the benefits of plants. Any plants, even those listed, are impossible for apple snails. But afterwards, this was a great bit of info, thanks!

I have anubias and swords. Didn’t know about the vals. Will have to try them!
