Can Someone Identify My Fish Please

Bought some new female guppies today, but upon introducing them to the tank I've realised that one of them isn't a guppy afterall...

My own fault for not checking carefully enough before purchasing. It is extremely active - much more so than my other guppies.

Could someone attempt to identify it for me please (the main fish in the picture, not the golden barbs)

Think that's a giant danio.

That is a giant danio, or one of the similar species (eg, Malabar danio). If you don't mind me asking, how the heck can anyone mistake that big thing for a guppy? Yes, they are extremely active fish and school.

Blame the lady in the shop, we just asked for 2 female guppies they got popped into the bag and when we got home realised this 'Danio' must have invaded the guppy tank !

Thats definately a Giant Danio. It needs a really long tank because its so active.

Yeah its a Giant Danio.
Prior thorough research is crucial when it comes to buying new fish, not only so you know what sort of fish you are getting and what its needs are (so that you can be prepared to look after it properly), but so you can also familiarize yourself with its appearance and so help avoid situations like this (and also help avoid buying fish which are not healthy specimens of their type).
