Can People Recommend Buying Ex Display Tanks?

Yeah mate you need to offer a low amount and show your cash off lol seriously it will be managers discretion and they will initially offer a rubbish discount.

Start chatting try to get first name terms tell em you are interested and then chat about ideas / fish and stuff in general..

I would expect a minimum of %20 and offer them 60% initially...

Oh, when it comes to the deal let them do the talking lol. If you make an offer and they um and arr STAY QUIET and resist urges to fill in the gaps and they usually come round :)

It is amazing how us Brits are generally rubbish at bargaining so I say go for it! As long as you are polite, not too cheaky and both parties walk away happy that is the main thing :good:

GOOD LUCK!

haha will do, im one of the people that always wants a bargin so i will be sure to get one!

thing is i am going to get it from them whatever and they know that so its probably in there interest selling me new and also i have applied for a job so i dont really want to rip them off!

good luck, i have the 200 and i like it a lot, was the first ever brand new tank ( larger one anyway) ive ever had , fluval cover the tank so i wouldnt worry about the warranty.. the shop cant cut that due to a discount, i got mine from pets at home for £239 all in, and i was pleased with that, if they had had the 240 i would have had that.. you go for it , get off as much as you like, and dont let on like you are going to buy it regardless

dunno if you read it on here... there ( im sure it was this brand of tank) there were some made in china and some made in germany there is a potental issue with the ones made in china ( identfiable by colour sticker on the light unit) apprently the lighting units fail after a few hours of use

We have our own Dom Littlewood

Good advice though, especially at this time, times are hard :(

ill check that now, also forgot to mention to check the doors before you fill the tank, mine was put together slowley and with care but for some reason i cant use one side of the doors as it just wont open due to sitting wrong, though it would have been impossible to make any mistakes whilst putting it together
