Hi all I have a community tank and the biggest fish I have are a pair of kribs. My question is could I add some red cherry shrimp?

I wouldn't, I have kribs too and I asked the same question, they will get eaten!

that is why I'm starting a shirmp tank! =D

Kribs and barbs will go after shrimp. I know this by sad experience having had each kind of fish eat a shrimp.
