Can I Use Filter Sponge From A Goldfish Tank To Help A New Tropical Se

Hello

I have a mature 60l biorb that has a few goldfish in it.

Can I use some of the filter sponge to speed up the cycle of a new tropical planted tank? or is a coldwater goldfish tanks's beneficial bacteria different in any way?

Really? two tiny old goldfish in a big 60l biorb looks pretty spacious to me? There a few yeas old and show no sign of outgrowing there biorb?

in a few years they will need atleast 60 gallons (5ft) if theyre commons

if theyre fancies you will need a 40 gallon.

OK thanks for the info. They are small and seem very happy where they are. If either of those facts change in the coming years I will address them when they happen
