Can I Put Assasin Snails In Ammonia Cycling Tank?

Hi All,
 
Can i put in assasin snails to help reduce the pest snail problem i have got??
 
Im currently using ammonia to cycle my tank... will ammonia kill assasin snails??
 
I havent even cycled my fish yet and already ive got lots and lots of little snails which i have been told come from the live plants i bought.
