Can Hardy Plants Thrive With An Airpump In The Tank?

I have a 180l coolwater community tank to which I'd like to add some hillstream loaches, aka borneo suckers, stone suckers, stone loaches... they have more common names than any other fish I've ever known :p Problem is that they like fast-flowing, well oxygenated water, which I would initially be providing with a 400lph air pump through a single large airstone, plus the agitation from the filter outlet (large external canister filter). I would also possibly like to add some form of directional flow with a powerhead or something, haven't quite worked that one out yet but I imagine it would introduce even more oxygen.

My question is, would my plants still thrive with that much oxygen about? I have several Elodea Densa and Cabomba Caroliniana, a Vallisneria Gigantea and a couple of Chladophora Aegagropila (moss balls). All are growing very vigorously at the moment and seem healthy. They were chosen for their hardiness and ability to survive cooler temperatures so I can only hope they're hardy enough to survive a bit of 02 as well?
 
An airstone isn't going to affect things very much unless you're injecting CO2 and trying to keep it from outgassing at the surface. Oxygen is not the only gas that will enter your water at the surface, CO2 from the air will also enter the water if the levels in the tank are below that of the air, and the other way around. It'll just even things out between water and air.

Do get a powerhead for the loaches. You can use it with a venturi valve instead of the airstone.

Cheers for the help :) Fab, just what I wanted to hear. I don't inject c02 so seems like it won't be an issue. Have forgotten my science lessons - presumed I would be driving off the co2 in the water, but of course it will enter the water if there's a lower concentration there :good:

What powerhead spec would you recommend for 180l? Would it be more beneficial to have two weaker ones on opposing sides to create a circular current or one single one with a larger flow rate?
