Can Cats Scare Fish If They Are Near Them?

my cat likes to jump near my fish tank to get to the window sill will this scare and stress the fish?

She won't eat them I think I should make extra sure though.

I wouldn't have thought it would worry the fish any more than any other movement outside the tank.

One of my cats is always jumping up onto the top of the tank to get a drink of fishie water and the fish couldn't care aless. In fact he usually dangles a paw in the water while he has a drink (as well as his tail floating along the surface) and if anything the fish think he is feedling them.
