I have read on some sites that blood red parrots are sterile like mules. However My wife convinced me to add a second one to my 75 gallon tank because the dempsy was getting aggressive with the african cichlids gone. It worked to calm the dempsy down. However the two parrots spent today moving all sand out of one of the caves in the tank makeing it into a mini fortress( my female lobster does this when she is going to berry up) They then took turns backing into a spot that is between the cave rocks and the back glass of my aquarium. Now they are taking turns guarding that spot. Seems like a breeding situation to me :p

Not too sure about if they can or not, but if they are sterile not too sure they'd know that  if you get what im sayin, could just be going on instinct

Most males are sterile, but the occasional rare male is fertile, same with Red Spotted Severums.

Well the two of them have become territorial enough of thier cave that my dempsy picked one a little farther away. They also went all out on my sand and buried two of my plants lol.
