Can bettas eat tropical fish flake food?

I would like to know incase I run out of betta food and have nothing to feed it.

I'm not sure. In my sorority tank, i feed the neons the trpical fish flakes and if the bettas eat some, the always spit it out. But maybe I have picky girls. LOL

It's not that they can't eat it, more a case of many won't eat it. If yours will eat it, then there's no problems.

I'm sure it's harmless if they eat that, so yes it's fine.
They are tropical fish.
But some might like it, some don't. ;)

My betta girls eat anything : frog bites, algae wafers, pelets, shrimp(frozen), worms, betta bites, spirulina ..... whatever. They have very strong colors and are very active. It's hard to stop them .... eat.

some betas can be fussy but all mine eat flake foos no problems, some will need weaned onto them, mabey a day or two of hunger to encourage them to eat it
