Hey

Could I keep a Betta (male or female) with a group of 6-8 male guppies and a bristlenose plec in a 60l tank? - I think that's around 13 UK gallons.

Thanks

It is doable but a lot of the time your guppies will end up tail-less, bettas get "tail envy" and as a guppy tail looks a bit like their own they usually (not all the time) but usually bite and nip at the guppy's tail. I wouldnt try it unless you have a back up plan

just don't do it. a lot more trouble than it is worth

It's not worth the risk.
They are better with short finned types like endlers, but then they will eat most of any fry you get from them.
