Can Anyone Tell Me What Sort Of Fish This Is

hi iv got two of these, they keep laying eggs then im guessing there eating them. i would like to find out what they are so i can find out what to do with them
here is some pics of them.
there not very good pics, the fish are yellow with black but change colour to almost blue. they have what looks like a eye on there top fin and the smaller ones belly goes dark blue, im guessing when its got eggs in side. i might be wrong though

is it these convicts as what we all seem to think



1st couple of batchs of eggs usually get eaten by cichlids

definately convicts, you wont be able to put anything else in with them or theyll chase them to the top of the tank or kill them when theyre breeding, only larger fish (theyll even attack them when defending their young)

Yep! Convicts are the killer rabbits of the fish world, breeding like crazy and defending there eggs/babies with a big temper!!! I have a single female and she is somewhat temperamental at times, but most of the time she keeps to herself. Beautiful fish, but recommended if a pair kept in there own tank, or a divided one.

i dont think there are Convict cichlids, they dont look like the ones in them links. and they have been in a tank with other fish and not been that bad, they did hold one corner but they didnt really hurt anything in the tanks, and all the other fish are smaill like neons
