Can Anyone Id These Fish Please

Obviously not the angel fish, but the other two. They are a pair and are silver with some almost blue and red markings. If anyone could help I would be very greatful

OK thankyou. ANy idea what type?? Upgrdaded my marine tank a couple of weeks ago, and the tank I bought had been troppy, and these were in there, trying to sell them but not sure what price to be asking. ANy ideas??

Silver/blue with red markings sound like preacox rainbows. Hard to tell from that picture. Those look like they have black stripes?

They have like orange and black stripes, but are not under any light, so I couldnt tell you their true colour..... Ideas?

They are generally sold as austrailan rainbowfish. Hard to say exactly what species. There are a lot of hybrids being sold these days.

Ok and what sort of price should I be asking for them? They are about 3-4 inches each.

I agree they are almost definitely Australian rainbow fish an yours look very beautiful and healthy you cant get very much for them because petsmart sell adults for 2 dollars but the angel and the clown loaches should fetch some nice $$

Wow, really? The shop where I got my bosemanis was selling juvenile and adult 'red rainbows' and 'striped rainbows' (which looked like these but didn't look at the actual species, sorry) for anywhere from about £8 to over £20 EACH.

Just a random sidenote - your heater shouldn't be resting on the substrate like that - it should be clipped diagonally across the back of the tank!

As for the rainbows, it depends on where you are... you might find someone on here locally who will take them from you for a reasonable price, but I've no idea what that might be!
