can anyone help me?
tank and occupants as below fishless cycle completed on monday and fishes added all going well until friday when two tetras look like they may have white spot
1 has only 1 spot the other has 3 - no q tank avail.

h20 stats

ammonia 0.00

nitrite 0.00

nitrate 25.0

ph 8.0

edit saturday

this pm no spots - what do i do now? i have bought malachite green - do i treat - assuming ick is in second stage - parasites dropped off (do a massive h20 change 1st, then add air stone and meds)
or leave it?
posted in emergencies but no one veiwing...

hi,
if your sure its ich i would treat as soon as poss, thinking along the same lines as you, ich in second stage.

look for signs of the fish flicking or rubbing, before you add the meds as malachite green isn`t a plesent thing to be popping into your tank

none of the fish are flicking or rubbing that i can see but 1 danio definatly had 1 spot it didnt have before...

thanks for both replies so q is is this ick or am i a bit obsessive (i try not to be i also have two cats and am a vet nurse!)
