Can A Cat Scare The Fish

My cat can get into a few of my tanks, but never does... even though the top is open, she still pats the sides instead
She sometimes drinks out of a few of my betta bowls, though -_-

Yea same here one of my cats lieks to pat the tank but my cat is differnt than most, you see he loves water. Im talkin like playing in the sink and snow. When i ditn have a hood he was ready to jump in. :D

My cat (persian) sits on the desk where a 10 gal. is and he sits and just watches them. Mainly the betta as that is the only one he probably notices. The albino corries and ghost shrimp are too small for him to pay attention to. He doesn't swat at the tank but he stares at them pretty hard. :p

my kitties love the fishies!!! that's why i got my first 10 gal...then MTS set in..

LOL murphy loves the cories tooo!!!!!

The dog "protects" the fish from the cat...whenever she goes near the tank the dog barks at her....then he proceeds to go and watch the fish....and growl at them and whimper when he can't get them. Then he runs over to me as if to say "get them out for me please"....

I don't think he wants to kill them, just play with them. Like he does with roaches. Brings them in from outside and rolls on them till they are dead. Then when they stop moving he loses interest :p

My kitten loves to watch my rams, it is quite a sight to see him pounce at the rams, and they just flare their dorsal fin and pounce right back at him. Silly cat though, my ten gallon didn't have a cover on it for a long time and he would jump on top of it and "tightrope" to the corner and just watch the fish that was in there. He did end up in that tank once though  that taught him!
