Cambspaul Fish In Cycle Log

wow your stats are looking good, even better when you think you dropped 13 fish in the tank all in one go!!

Keep up the great work! :good:

Stats are still good , sitting at ph 7.2
Ammonia 0
nitrite 0.1
nitrate 10

Doing ok since adding the fish . Plenty of water changes seem to have given the filter time to catch up .
I would love to add a shoal ( is that spelt right ) , not yet i want these ones to settle abit first .
Does anyone have any ideas ?

Current stock
1 common plec
2 gold barbs
1 spanner barb
1 red tail shark
1 swordtail
4 discus
1 angelfish
2 butterfly fish
1 gibbiceps plec

Yeah thats spelt right :)

and any ideas on what you would like to have to shoal??

Not really got ant ideas , dont know what fish can shoal and which are more pairing fish . So im open to all advice .
Would like some bright colours though . How big can you go with a shoal ?
Nothing too small , my 2 mountain minnows have disapeared , the shark is prime suspect or maybe the butterflys . Dont want to loose anymore fish .

Poor minnows. Yeah it was a liability.

So you need something a bit larger, that can shoal, and not get eaten by sharks.

Difficult one. I'm sure others can come up with suggestions. And I think you can go as big as your tank lets you in a shoal usually.

I was hoping they would all get on but it wasnt to be . Poor little minnows , i started with 10 and now there all gone . Should have gone with a fishless cycle , but didnt know about them then . We live and learn .

Yeah, but as you said, live and learn indeed.

To be fair, if they had survived the cycle, then they would have been lunch anyway, so poor things were doomed whatever happened.

Thought i would update the log . All water readings are still constant and no problems .

Ive added 16 congo tetra that shoal beautifully . There greedy though , grab any flake i put in before any other fish can get near .

I have caught the sngel headbutting the cobaltblue discus a couple of times , but that seems to have settled down now .

Im loving this fishkeeping , really glad i got in to it . A big thank you to everyone on here who has helped me out with advice .
