That'd be great, then I can consider finding one and buying it.. would look good at the back of my tank, got the perfect space for it too....

Hmm, google can't find anything called a water bonsai... Sounds interesting.

I wonder if it's one of those Bogwood stumps they grow moss on, i've seen it done and it looks like a real bonsai, beautiful.. How much are they charging for it?

Dont know much about it , i think it might have been called an aqua bonzai . My missus has a friend who works in pets at home and she showed me a pic . Looked just like a normal one so im going to have a look . Checked there site but they only had fake plants on there .

Right, it was called a bonsai windelov . You were right rusty it is a plant tied to a pioece of driftwood . Looks good though .
I bought 2 that i can make sort of an arch out of . Ill put a pic up tomorow when ive got the tank looking abit better .
They were £8.99 each

Pic tomorrow for definate . Cant take one now as ive just sort of dunped the new plants ive brought in the middle of the tank . Going to play around tomorrow and get it looking good . Well the best i can .
Didnt really have a clue how much they were worth , but liked them so got them . Was waiting for someone to tell me id payed well over the odds to be honest . Nice to know i didnt have my pants pulled down .

Well depending on size of the bogwood, the time it takes to tie the moss onto the wood, and the time it takes to grow the moss to a decent size and etc.. I would of thought you'd be paying around £20-£25 each

There were lots of different sizes , all twisted like bonsia are . Some were about 12 maybe 15 inches long .
I got a biggish one and a small one . Result

Really like the look of those bonsai windelov's

How hard are they to maintain?

There supposed to be quite easy to look after . Thats what pets at home said anyway . They have lots of them in there tanks and they all looked in good condition . The instructions with it say

ph 5-8
water soft to hard
temp 18-30
light low to medium

I dont know anymore than that about them im afraid .

With the new fish in there levels have risen slightly , trying to keep them under control with the water changes while the filter catches up .
ph 7.2
ammonia 0
nitrite 0.1
nitrate 15

Im making sure all the dead leaves and anything floating is removed as soon as possible too .
I put an airwall in there and all the fish seem to go mad for it , cant keep them out of it . There like a bunch of kids with a new toy .
