Bye Girl

okay FBT I will say this without trying to offend you, but if you admit right now to having too much on your plate, being unable to afford even to buy a liquid test kit, then why on earth would you even consider to breed guppies? Does it make sense to you? Because it really doesn't make any sense to me

I can afford a liqiud test kit but then I will have no money till Monday:( No not you TropicMan...

FTB,
I really have to agree with this. I mean, i have three fish. But i'm constantly working with them. Othello has been injured to the point where he cannot use his left side fin anymore. That happened because i wasn't equipped with a small tank to keep him in. Now that i've got him in a little hospital tank, i have to keep his water warm by a lamp and keep a dosage of good water in his little container every day because i dont have a filter in it either. Its alot of work and care and i really can't see how you can care for guppies, friends fish, bunnies and whatever else you keep at your home...

I'm not saying its not possible...I have a lizard, a gerbil and a puppy pug to care for as well since my mom has returned to school to set up and my dad works. I also work full time as a coach and a lifeguard. If Othello's condition worsens, i'm taking him with me to the pool. Have i also mentioned I have an application due in November? Yeah, i live a busy life but i manage my time an money to care for my pets. you NEED to learn how to do this FTB or you'll be losing alot of animals. Highschool is a busy time, especially once you hit the AP courses.

Have you gotten an agenda or a dayplanner to keep? Five Star is selling this awesome one right now that is color coded and everything. Check it out here: http://www.mead.com/webapp/wcs/stores/serv..._-1_false_10051 Also, have you thught about getting a full calendar to hang on your wall maybe? A desk calendar works great.

Really, i wish you the best,

Kitty

I've been sitting back and looking at all these topics, and have kept quiet throughout.

But i just have to say, i'm not trying to get on your back FBTgirl but, it sounds like you have a lot going on in your life at the moment. So i would really consider breeding guppies at this moment in time. Why not leave it for 6 months and then see what your life is like then, you may well have more time then to devote to breeding.

are the guppies for one of your tanks or are you breeding to sell?

Just a thought...

Alot of stores dont buy guppies, theres too many of them about. your better off breeding something else if you are serious about it, and when you get the time to look after your pets, in the meantime, I irecommend no more pets if you cant look after them as you mentioned yourself you ahve not got the time!

Good luck and concertrate on you school work (lol, do sound like your mum there)

I thibnk socalmom is out of orderbarracading all of FBTgirl's topics with negative and upsetting replies towards FBTgirl and I think it would be better if socalmom stays away from FBTgirl's topics just a suggestion though :/

They arent negative or upsetting, they are the truth. I'm not being rude or calling her names. She's been doing this since before I was a member...and probably before she was a member here herself

I also think it's better that you don't give me suggestions lol

Anyway, I really am done trying to talk sense into you. I'm not going to get myself in trouble over your bad choices, FBT

Good luck with whatever though :)

You pm'd me saying you were gonna breed guppies in a couple of months... yet now you say your female had babies. You said that you didn't have enough time to care for the bettas, yet you have enough time to care for the guppy babies?
With all the fish that you had dying, what if the babies get a disease and when you sell them they'll spread the disease? Do you have a separate tank (not a breeding trap) with a filter, heater, and is it big enough to house the babies?
Do you have space to separate the males when they develop from the females?
Do you already have good homes lined up? I don't think people will pay shipping for a couple of guppies they could buy from a pet shop.
Do you have a big enough tank and enough time to take care of the adults if no one wants to take them?
And, if you don't have another tank to separate the males, are you ready for even more babies that your fry will have, and also your 3 original females?
If you actually decide that you don't have enough time for your fish, how will you have time for all the fry your guppies will have, which could be more than 30?
They might not seem like bad choices to you, but you need to have responsability for the guppies as well, and if you don't have the time to take care for a female betta, than certainly you don't have enough time to take care of several fry.
Sorry to sound harsh, but, you need to realize that if you can't take care for one fish, you need to make sure you don't get more.
