Buying Fish Online

I’m considering buying some fish online. I’ve heavily questioned that it could be done without harming the fish, but from what I’ve read, I’m starting to consider it…

Has anyone used any of the online fish suppliers and had a successful, happy transaction?

If so with what companies?

I've had 2 online experiences , Liveaquaria was a good one , though if your looking for something particular [ cichlid wise ], you could be out luck .

The other was not so good , I had bad luck , though they will refund for for deaths with detailed photos , all I was after were healthy fish , didn't get'em, got sickly fish , maybe it was a bad time of year . Maybe it was a one time thing [ just my luck ]. I'll PM YOU THAT PLACE .

I've been looking at live aquaria. They have a suitable selection for what I'm looking for (Oscars, Rams, Cockatoos, Black Ghost Knives... different tanks of course...). I was hoping to get good feed back on them... Once the tanks are established and ready for fish I will do a more thorough local search and see if I can special order locally. Mail ordering fish will be a last choice for me but I'd rather mail order and get what I want than settle for a different species...

I order my fish only... I will not get my fish from a lfs, I have used cichlidmaster in the past( he doesn't sell anymore) and now use Jeff Rapps, kind of hard to get the 50 dollar min for some of the species that I want though. I usually have to wait till they get bigger for me to get in on them. like now that I have 2 grow out tanks avalible and he has the amphilous zalious avalible I will be able to get one and also am thinking I am going to get a pair of crenicichla proteus from Jeff.
