I have a few pictures of my European Bullheads which are also known as "Millers Thumb". I also have a video of the largest male Eating the Youngest.
First the pictures.
Serena - A large dark female who is always hiding in her log with only her head poking out.

Cosmo and Tasha - A young pair who constantly hang around together, no matter what.

Hades - The terror of the tank. Despite small, he terrorizes the other males except Cosmo because Cosmo stands up for himself.

I'll add the video when it has uploaded.

Why did the male eat the youngest?

Further more why did you video it!!

The male ate the youngest because A. They are predatory and B. It's nature, survival of the fittest.

It isn't the worst that could be done. I could have sat and laughed but I didn't. I would have tried saving the youngest but by the time I had looked it was already halfway down the throat of Hades, so I videoed what I could which isn't much.

If you think A Bullhead doing what comes naturally and me not being able to do anything about it bad, try looking here - http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/365312-an-old-predatory-video/

It's nature and it will happen. I have managed to ween these onto frozen bloodworm but they will still attack anything that's alive. If it's small enough to be eaten, it will be eaten.

I actually was thinking more along the lines of was the younger ill...........rather than the standard answers you've given which I already knew.

Still waiting to see the video............

Yes I know, the video is still uploading. My internet is kinda slow when it comes to uploading videos even though it's about 10 seconds long.

Finally...
Sorry about the quality my phone isn't very good...

As you can see, the younger one was already halfway down Hades' throat.
