Bulging Blue Ram Female

The pink patch does it have a white edging or white centre.
The fish could be flicking if the temp to low.
Long stringy white poo can be constipation, bacterial infection, internal parasites.

Any excess mucas on the gills or body of the fish.
Do the gills look red and inflamed or pale with excess slime.
Check the anus of the fish to see if it's enlarged or red and inflamed.
Any fish look skinny or bloated.
Any fish have sunken in belly.
Do any fish swim on there sides.
Lost any fish to bent spines.

Sorry thought the fish had a pink patch.

As Truck has said Rams need the raised temperature. At lower temps rams immune systems do not work as they should. The fact there is some illness means you really need to raise the temperature in order for the rams to have the best possible chance of getting through a treatment regimen.

As you have corries I would suggest raising to 28 degrees, 30 would be better with illness present but you cannot do that with the corries. I would also suggest an airstone as there is less dissolved oxygen at higher temperatures, this will help the fish to acclimatise to the higher temps.

If you can answer Wilders questions, she will get to the bottom of this for you.

What does excess mucas look like? Is it almost like peeling off skin? Because if so i have a platy in there which has it and ive been trying to get her out for about 3 weeks but none of the others have it.

Some of the guppies have red gills but these are only the yellow ones and their gills have always looked red since i got them in january. No excess slime or inflammation on gills.

Anus of the female ram did look enlarged but went down after the pea trick still abit of a bump though.

The ram looked bloated but that seems to have been sorted, about a month ago i lost 2 guppies to being hollow bellied but put it down to the stresses of having dropped fry.

One of the guppy females swims on her side when the lights arent on but is corrected when lights come on so didnt think anything of it.

Lost about 4 guppies in january to bent spines but they were rather old ones.

Any other info needed?
And thanks for finding the post

Wilder is not well at the moment, she has gone for a lie down. She promised she would look back a little later on. I am sure she will be able to help you diagnose the problem.

Sit tight until then.

Have you done water tests again, if so can you post these for Wilder to check.

Sounds like your livebearers might have internal parasites.
What does it look like when the fish goes to the toilet. Does it look white and stringy or clear mucas poo. Can you see any worms prutruding from the anus.
Excess mucas and red inflamed gills can be gill flukes, red gills can also be bad water quality, bacterial gill rot.

Signs of gills flukes are.
Red inflamed gills or pale gills with excess slime.
Flicking and rubbing.
Laboured breathing or gasping at surface of tank.
Weighloss sometimes.
Darting or erratic swimming.
Sores on the body of the fish.
Fish will swim in a jerky movement.
Spitting food out.

Poos of some fish are long white and stringy. I cant see any worms.

Most of my live bearers flick off leaves in he tank, there is no gasping but the gills on some are read, some weightloss in those that previously died.

No sores on bodies (except this strange grey peeling on the platy)

No erratic swimming.

Some fish have a tendancy to spit their food out.

Am i right thinking i should treat for internal and external parasites? If so is there anything i can use which is invert friendly as i have apple snails and shrimp (maybe i have only seen one recently).

Thanks again for your time wilder and hope your feeling better yourself

Dropsy can pass onto other fish if they peck on the dead body.

Just do some water changes for a few days on main tank.
If you moved the fish the other fish should be fine.
