Bubbles...rex And Lewis

Nitrite went down to 1.0 in 12 hrs, some days i had 0's, somedays i had 2.0.
Ive had 0's for Ammonia for weeks now..just the Nitrites bobbing about.
it was like 2 steps forward ...1 step back.

If your levels are fine and your platy is not showing any signs of disease, I would buy a couple more fish!

what would one suggest?

I wanted some Cardinal tetras..what has a smaller bioload?

ummm.......well i went to my other LFS (where i got the mollies), i know the duty manager there, he said he would give me the money off new fish for what i paid for the mollies.

So....

I got 2 more Platies and 2x Panda corys..they are tiny..about 1cm long.

they seem to be happy and even Lewis has come out to see the newbies. :D

will test the water again tonight to make sure reading are ok.

Water parameters are spot on this morning...would it have shown by now if it was going too? Given as i put in the extra fish yesterday afternoon????
Lewis has started to seem alot more relaxed and has been out alot more. :kana:
Rex is busy bossing everyone around.
The Cory's are Zipping about the place, up and down is this normal behaviour? They cleaned up the substrate straight away yesterday.

Do Cory's have different food to the Platy's? It says in my book that all the other Cory's eat flake. i assume they are the same.

I am so Happy, especially about Lewis interating a bit more. He looked so sad :(

Up the cories to 6, not 4.

When I got my first bronze cories, they were just totally mental, zipping about all over the place, for a couple of days. Looking back, I put that down to stress, made worse by only being two of them.

My bronzes eat the standard food, but then my standard food isn't flake, it's granules (Sera is the make) and this naturally sinks slowly, helped by the downcurrent from the filter.

If your flakes don't sink quickly enough, then there are sinking wafers.

i gather there is no way to sex Cory's? esp that small?
will upping to 6 be ok for the Bioload?
I also have some mini round pellets/granules made by King Fish says suitable for bottom feeders...what about bloodworms?
how many do you feed? If they are frozen..are they separate?

I've never yet figured out how to sex my bronzes - but then I'm not trying breed them so I haven't tried particularly hard.

As with my previous posts, I would personally wait a while before upping the bioload - 2/3 weeks would be fine.

The King Fish granules sound fine - I've only ever used freezedried bloodworm, which doesn't sink, so the cories have missed out on treats day - I sometimes give them a wafer instead - between them and the assassin snails, none of the other fish get a look-in.

hope they grow fast..im scared of sucking them up the syphon? :(

Mine has a coarse filter to prevent fish going down the tube. Mind you, I was lazy once, and just stuck the tube in, without the nozzle. And then I saw this big lump going down the tube into the bucket. Zebra Danio. :hyper:

aw....poor Danio. :( was he ok?

i have a funnel part to it to stop gravel going up...maybe i should use that? x
