Just wondering, when I had Shatner in his 1gal bowl he would blow some small nests in the back. But since I moved him into his 5 gal tank he hasn't blown any. He's much more active and has gotten an even bigger appetite! :fun:

Maybe he's just not a big nest blower...Anyone have ideas? He seems happy enough though, either way :D

How long have you had him in the 5 gallon? Could be that he's just not used to the new surroundings yet.

I had a veiltail though that never would blow a bubble nest. Had him for 3 years, never a single bubble.

He's been in there for a little over a week or so. He seems happy enough, but no bubblenests :)
maybe it's to do with being more active....mine's in a community tank and he never blows bubble nests either...but is perfectly happy

Mine use to make massive nests when he was in the 55L, but when I moved him over to the 125L he didn't make any..... until this weekend. I did a 50% water and used humaquat, instead of PH down to lower the ph and now the little bugger is making a nest in the corner under all the frogbit :)
