im gonna be starting a planted tank nd i wanted to know is it bad to have a bubble wall ina a planted tank

Bubbles will create surface agitation and promote CO2 escape. Which is not what you want. But if you're looking to start a planted tank a bubble wall should probably be the least of your worries! :D

Lots of useful help there;/

I would use anything that puts oxygen into the water if you want plants, plants want the c02 thats in the water and give off oxygen.

Plus on a theme to what was said above, a bubble wall isnt exactly natural

You use bubbles when the plants don't need CO2 though.. at night.. but then it'll be dark, and kinda defeats the purpose of the bubbles.

You can use bubbles in a low-light tank without any CO2. But you can only grow plants like Java fern, Amazon sword, Echinodorus Ozelot, cryptororynes, or anubias.

Inspite of this you can have algae outbreaks due to excess of nutrients.

What I mean is, it CAN be done, but it would be a bad idea.
