my male jag apparently jumped clean out the tank a couple of weeks ago wilst i was on holiday
the student was sat in the lounge at 3am when he heard an almighty crash, ran to kitchen to find brutis flapping around on the floor,
because my student feels fear he ran to bathroom and got a towel, wrapped up the jag and put him back into the tank

should not laugh as could have been real bad!!!

now ive wedged a metal bottol opner in the lid which stops it opening,,,,now hes just done same again, i heard a crash, ran out but this time he just looked bewildered luckily

going to have to diy something good to stop this sort of thing happening again

Try floating plants, they may help.

But honestly, with a fish that big, I don't know if it would work. Good luck with the silly boy.

Put a sign next to your fishtank saying, basket ball try outs next may, he may stop for 9 months

oh goodness, this made me laugh, for intelligent fish they dont half do some stupid things, bless him, i wonder why he started playing this game now.

*we love you Brutis* you silly boy

shelagh xxxx

i think you need to have a man to man talk with him nelly, see whats up

Oh dear... I have enough trouble with river shrimp jumping out of the tank to get away from being eaten and i panic at that!! If i had a fish like that jump out i think i'd die!! ha ha ha

My Oscar gets excited whenever he sees his food or ping pong ball. So I've come up with a simple solution.

I put a nice big brick on top of the tank's hood. He hasn't jumped out since.

Cover the inside of your lid with foil then run a small electric current through it. He'll learn.

Nothing teaches compliance like electric shock treatment.
