mmmm im not too sure but i would be cautious that with all the chemicals in superglue some may start to leach out at some point, i personally would just use clear silicone sealant (for fishtanks) as its known to be safe and may be a little buit more expence but the cost of eing wong wih the superglue would be disasterous.

thats what i figured just thought id check 1st. rekon i will try with aquarium sealant . can geta small tube at my lfs for about 3 quid

I know you dont have to use specific aquarium glue, but it does need to be aquarium safe. Superglue even once dried may still leech nasties into the water.

Aquarium sealant is pretty strong so it should be good enough to use.

i had a broken rock thing ( was quite nice) tll dropped it bringing it out of the garage, i tried silicone but took forever t form a bond, so in the end i stuffed the larger half into a bucket of fine gravel to stick to the silicone and let it dry off and just used it like that, facing toward the back of he tank so that you couldnt see the break, but as long as its not sharp it will be ok, maybe tie on some plants to hide it or something?

I'm not suggesting that you go and put super glue in your tank, but marine fish keepers have been using super glue for years to attach coral cuttings to live rock with no apparent ill effects.

Yeah, cyanoacrylate gel/glue is fine for use in aquaria. Just make sure it's dry before you put it back in the tank if you're worried.
