i am not going out to buy any more fish for the time being, not that my tank is full or has a problem
it's jst that the room i have left i want to reserve for fish that i actually want, i do it everytime, i go out to look for certain fish and come home with ones i didnt even want!!, i dunno how i do it!!!, went out yesterday to get a syno multipuncactus, and gets ok, but comes home with 2 lyretail danio's?!?!?!?, i tell you from now on i will only be buying L num plec's i like and unusual syno's and catfish

does anyone else find they do this when going shopping for fish?

Yep, happens all the time to me. I went to get some food a couple of weeks ago and ended up spending £40 on 5 peacock gobys and a boxing shrimp. I went in yesterday with my kids, again to get some frozen food and came away with 2 ADF's. I must stop going :S

LOL!!!!
This happens constantly!

And never mind going in with one fish in mind and coming out with something completely different. I went in this week to get a pump fixed and found myself standing in front of the Betta display wondering if I got a couple where I would put them....

I didn't get any, only because I have come home with unintentional family members so often I reminded myself that I'm saving the space for the Bettas I *really* want, not more fish store mutts.
even as pretty, cute, and needy as they are.
even when they press their little fishy faces to the glass....

Hehe, doesn't happe to me yet, but I'm already planning my first betta, then ones after, and I'm starting to think about breeding..... I think I'll concentrate on not killing guppies first.:)

oh yes... I went in for bloodworm and ended up spending 45pounds on fish and filter things, I went to the fish shop last week for plants and a bristnose and came out with a panaque plec, 2 zebra loaches and a whiptail...

I believe this is the underlying cause of MTS (Multiple Tank Syndrome)

First you just buy some cute little fishies that you just can't resist. Then you have to go back to the lfs where you buy some more. Only the special ones, mind you. ;) Then, you need a bigger tank. So you upgrade your tank. Well, then you have an extra tank which you promptly set up again after the next trip to the lfs, where you see these cute little fishes..............................

It happens to me all the time! :*)
