Frozen brine shrimp is generally much better than the freeze-dried stuff although with those options i'd go for Hikari - their products are usually top-notch.

i've heard that you can use any brine shrimp, except for the adult brine shrimp when feeding fry as aparently it will kill them

this may be true or false, like i said i read it or read something like that but can not remember for the life of me where that was... lol

What is it being fed to? I personally don't use freeze dried foods, only frozen.

Adult brineshrimp isn't that good a food, it doesn't have that many minerals/nutrients etc. For fry though, newly hatched brine shrimp is a great food and helps fast growth and colours.
